Success Stories

Still wondering whether donations to this charity make a difference? Here is what some of our programme alumnus had to say about their experiences.

Ronney
Ronney

“Hi, I’m Ronney. I am honored to have been one of the first recipients of the Sponsor My Future program. Thanks to the continued support since childhood, I am the first in my family to attend college. Growing up in a less privileged community has not only offered financial and academic challenges but has also helped me realize the value of a college education. Sponsor My Future helped me to get my driver's license and I have now just started an undergraduate course in Electrical Engineernig. My plans at this stage are to complete this course and be productive to the community. Working as a volunteer in my community throughout high school, I enjoyed helping people learn about community services available to them. I hope to be able to serve in a political position sometime in the future, where I might have even more of an ability to help less fortunate and under-represented social groups.”

Peter
Peter

“My name is Peter. I have been supported by the sponsorship program since my childhood. I'm deeply grateful for the support that I have received which helped me through primary, secondary and tertiary education up to college where I pursued a Diploma in Electrical Engineering. I am now preparing for employment by one of the Engineering companies in my area. The sponsorship enabled me to focus on my education without the distraction of financial problems. I appreciate everything about this program more than you'll ever know”

Veronica
Veronica

“Hi I am Veronica and I have been sponsored by this programme for as long as I can remember. This programme has been so supportive to me since I was a small child, it has brightened my future and provided me with great hope in life. I have been able to reach where my single mother, unfortunately, could not and I am now the primary breadwinner in my family. My heart is full of gratitude as I am now a fully qualified teacher.”

Jeremiah
Jeremiah

“My name is Jeremiah, and I am a qualified doctor. Sponsor My Future provided me with emergency funding in 2020 when I was unable to pay for my final year of university, which would have prevented me from graduating. Thanks to the sponsorship programme I was able to finish my degree and graduate. I am now working as a medical professional in South Sudan where I aim to use my skills to contribute towards the dire medical needs in this humanitarian crisis setting.”

Raphael
Raphael

“My name is Raphael and I have been sponsored by this programme since the early years of secondary school. I grew up in the township of Ruiru with my parents and sadly lost my father. My mother sells fruit in the local market and has always done her best to support me. Thanks to the sponsorship programme I will be graduating with a degree in Hospitality Management later this year. I am the first in my family to attend university and hope to become a successful and experienced hotel manager. My degree has enabled me to secure a full-time job at The Hilton in Nairobi where I currently work! This has enabled me to give my mother the life and rest she deserves. Thank you to all the sponsors for enabling this opportunity. Wishing you all peace and happiness forever.”

Esther
Esther

"Hey, my name is Esther. I am currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management. I grew up in Ruiru, Kenya with my 3 sisters where we were raised by my grandmother. I have been on the sponsorship programme for as long as I can remember, and it has got me to where I am today. I hope to graduate soon and start working in the industry so that I can support my grandmother and little sisters. We really appreciate the support provided to our community; it is opening doors for our youth that we never thought possible."
